Watch live: Biden holds joint press conference with Australian PM
President Biden on Wednesday afternoon is slated to hold a joint press conference with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
The leaders are expected to touch on the AUKUS submarine deal between the two countries and the United Kingdom, announced in 2021 as part of efforts to deter Chinese aggression.
Biden and Albanese are also expected to discuss expanding internet connectivity, supporting economic development of Pacific Island nations, and a joint space launch program.
The event is scheduled to begin at 1:15 p.m. ET.
