Rick Perry’s dog has puppies

Gov. Rick Perry (R-Tex.) has stumbled across the easiest way for a politician to soften his image: PUPPIES!

(i.e. “Rick Perry…isn’t he the guy who said Texas might secede from the–LOOK, PUPPIES!”)

The Governor’s black lab “Belle” gave birth to a litter yesterday, and Perry shared it with the Twittersphere.

Here’s the Governor’s summary of the birthing process:

oopps…..make that 5 girls and 3 boys..still making babies!!!

Oh My Gosh….6 girls and one more to go.. it looks like 10 baby labs total…and we thought she was done with 5!!! Gonna be a busy mom!!

OK, Belle is finished with delivery….9 Black Labrador puppies..everyone healthy but tired…6 girls and 3 boys!
