Carter nabs another Grammy nomination

Jimmy Carter will go head-to-head against Tiffany Haddish, Questlove and other big names as he eyes another Grammy Award.

Nominations for the 2019 Grammys were announced Friday.

{mosads}The former president picked up his fourth Grammy nomination, getting a nod in the spoken word album category for the audio version of his book released earlier this year, “Faith: A Journey for All.”

Carter, 94, snagged two previous Grammys, in 2007 and 2016, in the same spoken word category. He was also nominated for the award in 2015.

Among the other nominees: comedian Haddish for “The Last Black Unicorn,” musician Questlove’s “Creative Quest,” Courtney B. Vance for Neil deGrasse Tyson and Avis Lang’s “Accessory to War” and author David Sedaris’s “Calypso.”

If Carter wins the Grammy at the ceremony airing Feb. 10 on CBS, he would become the only former commander in chief to snag three of the awards. Both former Presidents Clinton and Obama have each won a pair of Grammys.
