British Prime Minister Theresa May on Thursday called on citizens of the U.K. to support her administration’s plan for Brexit even amid the resignation of her own Brexit secretary and hints of a no-confidence vote from within her own party.

The BBC reports that May told callers on a radio call-in segment that she plans to see the country through Brexit even amid uncertainty in her own cabinet.

“Leadership is about taking the right decisions, not the easy ones,” she added, when pressed about rumors of a no-confidence vote.

Her comments came amid the resignation of two of her top aides, Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab and Work and Pensions Secretary Esther McVey, who both told May on Thursday that they could not support the agreement struck between May’s government and European Union representatives in Brussels.

Environment Secretary Michael Gove was also rumored to be considering an exit according to The Associated Press, but reportedly decided against it while not saying whether he supports May’s Brexit deal or not.

May defended her plan on Thursday in an appeal to remaining members of her government and the general public, stressing that her deal delivered on the promise of returning control over U.K. trade and other international issues to the British government.

“For a lot of people who voted ‘leave,’ what they wanted to do was make sure that decisions on things like who can come into this country would be taken by us here in the U.K., and not by Brussels, and that’s exactly what the deal I’ve negotiated delivers,” she said.
