Principal deputy White House press secretary Olivia Dalton and Federal Emergency Management Agency Administrator Deanne Criswell are slated to hold a gaggle Monday afternoon aboard Air Force One en route to Maui.
The death toll from the wildfires in Hawaii has topped 100 and is expected to rise, according to local officials.
President Biden has faced criticism over his response to the wildfires, and he drew particular ire for his response of “no comment” when being asked about the rising death toll.
The event is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. EDT.
