Watch live: Senate to hold crucial first vote on Kavanaugh nomination

The Senate on Friday is expected to have the first floor vote on Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination. 

The Senate will vote to advance the nomination by holding a procedural cloture vote.

If Kavanaugh receives a simple majority, the Senate will debate for up to 30 hours before holding a final vote.

The vote is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
