Bill Cosby ruled a ‘sexually violent predator’
A judge ruled Tuesday that Bill Cosby is a “sexually violent predator” on day two of his sentencing over a 2004 sexual assault, according to The Associated Press.
Pennsylvania prosecutors have asked Judge Steven O’Neill to sentence Cosby, 81, to five to 10 years in prison, while his defense team is asking for house arrest instead.
{mosads}O’Neill plans to make his official sentence known later Tuesday afternoon, but the decision to designate Cosby as a predator has important implications.
He must now be registered as a sex offender and included in registries sent to neighbors, schools and victims.
Additionally, Cosby must undergo lifetime counseling and report to authorities quarterly.
Since Andrea Constand took her accusations against Cosby to court in 2005, more than 60 women have also come forward to accuse him of sexual misconduct.
