David Lynch: Trump could be remembered as one of the greatest presidents
Filmmaker David Lynch said in a recent interview that President Trump could be remembered as one of the greatest presidents in history, citing his disruption of the U.S. political system.
“He could go down as one of the greatest presidents in history because he has disrupted the thing so much. No one is able to counter this guy in an intelligent way,” Lynch, who is known for his TV show “Twin Peaks,” as well as films like “Blue Velvet” and “Mulholland Drive,” told The Guardian.

“Our so-called leaders can’t take the country forward, can’t get anything done. Like children, they are. Trump has shown all this,” Lynch said.
The entertainment industry has widely rejected Trump’s presidency, often lashing out at his policies and rhetoric.
Actor Robert De Niro made headlines earlier this month when he repeatedly said “f— Trump” while speaking onstage at the Tony Awards.
“It’s no longer ‘down with Trump,’ it’s ‘f— Trump,'” De Niro said to a cheering audience at the awards show.
