McCain sends ‘best wishes’ to Reid after surgery
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) sent his best wishes to former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) in a tweet on Monday after it was revealed Reid underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer.
“From one cantankerous senator to another, sending my prayers & best wishes to [Sen. Reid] as he recovers from a successful surgery,” McCain tweeted.

Reid underwent the surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore to remove a tumor from his pancreas, which was spotted during a routine screening, according to a statement released by his family.
The former senator’s family said they were confident the surgery was successful.
{mosads}Reid will undergo chemotherapy as the next part of his treatment, according to the statement.
McCain is in the process of battling an aggressive form of brain cancer in Arizona.
He was diagnosed with glioblastoma last July.
The 81-year-old senator underwent surgery last month for an intestinal infection.
