President-Elect Obama Acknowledges Challenges, Expresses Hope
Acknowledging challenges ahead, President-elect Barack Obama heaped praise on supporters and campaign staff in a speech after winning the presidency.
“The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep,” Obama said.”But I will always be honest with you about the challenges we face.”
To a refrain of his signature campaign slogan, “yes we can,” Obama expressed effusive hope for the future of the United States.
