Social media trolls Trump over broken link to ‘Fake News Awards’

President Trump unveiled his “Fake News Awards” in a tweet Wednesday, but the awards website crashed almost immediately.

Trump tweeted a link to the “winners” of the awards, which directs viewers to the Republican National Committee’s website. The site displayed an error message and appeared to crash from high traffic.

“The site is temporarily offline, we are working to bring it back up. Please try back later,” the error message read.
