Obama Cuts Ad for Carmouche

President-elect Barack Obama has recorded a radio ad asking Louisiana voters to elect Democrat Paul Carmouche, who faces off against Republican John Fleming in Saturday’s election.

“To change America and to get Louisiana’s economy back on track, I need leaders like Paul Carmouche working with me in Washington,” Obama says in a transcript provided to the Washington Post. “Together we made history, but there is still one more important election in Louisiana on Saturday, December 6th.”

A mid-November poll showed Fleming with a small lead over Carmouche in Lousiana’s fourth congressional district. Democrats hope to pad their majority by replacing Rep. Jim McCrery (R), who is retiring, with Carmouche.
