Trump in Christmas Eve call: ‘We’ve got prosperity, now we want peace’
President Trump told a child in a Christmas Eve phone call on Sunday that the country has reached a state of “prosperity” but now desires “peace.”
The president and first lady Melania Trump spoke by phone with children about Santa Claus’s whereabouts as the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) tracks the whereabouts of Santa and his reindeer as they travel around the world delivering gifts.
During one phone call, Trump said his Christmas wish was “peace for the country.”

“We’ve got prosperity, now we want peace,” he told the child.
The president took six calls and the first lady took nine, asking children what they wanted for Christmas and sharing information about Santa’s location, according to the first lady’s office.
The Trumps, who participated in the 62-year-old NORAD tradition, were connected randomly to children calling into the center, who did not know beforehand that they would be talking to the first family.
The Trumps are celebrating Christmas at Mar-a-Lago, their private beach resort in Palm Beach, Fla.
