Trevor Noah: Trump’s danger-ranking system is Democrat, then alleged pedophile
Trevor Noah late Monday went after President Trump, saying an alleged pedophile falls below a Democrat in the president’s “danger-ranking.”
“So Trump’s danger-ranking system is: Democrat, then alleged pedophile,” Noah said during his late-night show.
“OK, like, in his world, parents will be in the park grabbing their kids, like, ‘Sarah, stay away from that man! He’s a Democrat! Go get candy from the man in the van, I’ll handle this.’”
{mosads}His comments come after Trump last week appeared to throw his support behind GOP Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore. Over the weekend, Trump went after Moore’s Democratic opponent, Doug Jones, saying he would be a “disaster.”
“The last thing we need in Alabama and the U.S. Senate is a Schumer/Pelosi puppet who is WEAK on Crime, WEAK on the Border… Jones would be a disaster!” Trump tweeted over the weekend.
Noah said during his late-night show that Jones was a “federal prosecutor who prosecuted the KKK in Alabama.”
“That’s hardly weak on crime,” he said. “But I guess for Trump, weak on crime is just an insult you can use on anything.”
Moore has been accused by multiple women of sexual misconduct.
The Washington Post reported earlier this month that a woman accused Moore of initiating a sexual encounter with her in 1979, when she was 14 and he was 32.
Several other women have come forward to accuse Moore of inappropriate contact when they were teenagers.
Moore has denied the allegations and continues to run in the Alabama Senate race, despite calls from several GOP lawmakers to step aside.
