Fake Facebook post shows military widow criticize congresswoman, defend Trump

The widow of Army Sgt. La David Johnson, Myeshia, has said a Facebook post criticizing Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.), which has been reportedly circulating since Oct. 17 from a person claiming to be her, is fake, according to ABC News.

“I want to set the record straight! I’m getting sick and tired of this so called politician using my husband as a political platform,” the now-debunked post reads.

“Even buy [sic] her own words she did not hear all of the conversation she only heard part of it. This is what actually was said. ‘They know the risk, they know what they sign up for but they still volunteer to put their lives on the line for their fellow Americans. We owe them a debt that can never be repaid.’ “

{mosads}The circulation of the fake post comes as Wilson finds herself in a war of words with Trump after the congresswoman revealed to various news outlets that she overheard Trump tell Johnson’s widow that her late husband “knew what he signed up for … but when it happens it hurts anyway.”

Trump denied Wilson’s account of the call, and accused her of fabricating it.

Last week, White House chief of staff John Kelly, who is a Gold Star father, addressed the issue during the daily press briefing.

Kelly said he was “stunned” that Wilson revealed the conversation between Myeshia Johnson and Trump to the media.
