Senate to Vote on Holder Confirmation Monday P.M.
The full Senate will vote on whether to confirm Eric Holder as attorney general on Monday at 6:15 p.m., Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said Thursday.
Holder is expected to win confirmation. The Senate Judiciary Committee recommended that his nomination go through by a 17-2 vote, despite earlier criticism of Holder by the panel’s top Republican, Sen. Arlen Specter (Pa.). Only Sens. John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) voted not to recommend Holder’s confirmation.
