Longtime Trump aide Keith Schiller plans to leave White House: report
Keith Schiller, a longtime aide to President Trump, has told multiple people he intends to leave the White House, according to CNN.
Schiller has reportedly said he plans to leave the White House at the end of September or in early October and cited financial reasons as his reason for the move.
{mosads}The longtime Trump aide reportedly wasn’t pleased with new White House chief of staff John Kelly and his newly implemented restrictions on access to the president.
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told CNN the story was “not true.”
Schiller has worked for Trump since at least 1999 and began serving as Trump’s director of security in 2004. He currently serves in the White House as director of Oval Office operations.
Schiller made headlines earlier this year when it was reported he hand-delivered a letter from Trump to FBI headquarters informing former FBI Director James Comey of his firing. Comey wasn’t at FBI headquarters when Schiller delivered the letter, and instead learned of his firing from a TV news report.
