MSNBC guest Donny Deutsch slammed President Trump on Monday, calling him a “racist” for failing to strongly condemn the white supremacist groups who rallied against the removal of a Confederate statue in Charlottesville, Va., over the weekend.

“He is a racist. Can we just say it once and for all, when we look at his history?” Deutsch said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

Deutsch cited examples including Trump’s public campaign peddling the false “birther” conspiracy that President Barack Obama was born in Kenya, not the United States.

{mosads}”When we look at the housing issues, when you look where he’s talked about reverse discrimination against whites, the birther movement. We have a racist as a president who is a man who cannot stand up and condemn the Ku Klux Klan and Nazism is a racist,” continued Deutsch, a branding and marketing expert.

“Mr. Trump, can you not condemn those people? Are you in support of that, is that what this is? It is so disgusting and repulsive,” he added.

Violent clashes erupted in the college town on Saturday as white supremacist groups marched down the streets to protest the removal of a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee.

The protests took a deadly turn after James Alex Fields Jr. allegedly plowed his car into counterprotesters, killing one woman and injuring scores more. Fields was arrested shortly after driving away.

Trump came under fire for what some saw as a vague response to the violence. Critics say his denouncement of violence from “many sides” did not go far enough to speak out against the white supremacists’ demonstrations.

Deutsch called Trump a “pathetic, sniveling, little man” and a “coward” for failing to condemn such groups.
