O’Reilly to make CNN appearance next month

Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly is set to make his first appearance on CNN next month, the network reported Thursday.

O’Reilly told CNN host Michael Smerconish, who appeared as a guest on his online program this week, that he would “see you on CNN in September.” An official date has not been announced, the network noted.

The conservative talkshow host has railed against CNN and other mainstream media outlets in the past as “left-wing,” often arguing that their coverage was biased.

O’Reilly aired some of his grievances about the cable network with Smerconish.

“I respect your opinion, but when I watch your network, it’s hour after hour after hour of speculation, with 17 hate Trumpers and one Jeffrey Lord or somebody else who looks like he’s on some kind of tranquilizer defending him. I mean it’s not a fair fight,” O’Reilly said.

Fox News announced in April that the long-time host would be leaving the network in the wake of sexual harassment allegations.

“The O’Reilly Factor” was the top-rated cable news show for the 15 years prior to O’Reilly’s departure.
