Ivanka Trump will has not retained husband Jared Kushner‘s lawyer to advise her in the ongoing Russia investigation, and has a “confidential relationship” with the attorney.

A report in the National Law Journal Tuesday claiming that Ivanka would be represented by Abbe Lowell, a white-collar defense attorney who was hired by her husband Jared Kushner, was disputed by a White House staffer.

Following the White House pushback, the National Law Journal updated its story with a comment from Lowell saying that he has a “confidential relationship” with Trump.

Kushner hired Lowell in June to represent him in the special counsel’s investigation into possible Russian collusion during the 2016. The president’s daughter and Kushner have shared a lawyer before, attorney Jamie Gorelick, formerly the deputy attorney general under President Clinton.

While the president’s daughter has not been investigated by special counsel Robert Mueller in the probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, Kushner testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee in a closed-door session on Monday, reiterating claims that he had not colluded with Russians.

President Trump’s longtime personal lawyer Marc Kasowitz resigned from Trump’s personal legal team last week amidst the Russia investigation.
