U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley says that Ivanka Trump views herself “as part of a public servant family” after the first daughter’s appearance at the Group of 20 summit.

“I think she sees herself as part of a public servant family and she doesn’t want to waste this time by not putting forward some effort to try and help the world,” Haley told host John Dickerson on CBS’s “Face the Nation” in an interview clip released Saturday.

Haley pointed to the efforts of President Trump’s elder daughter on certain issues, which include female entrepreneurs in the work place, paid family leave and combatting famine.

“She’s got her certain issues that she focuses on and when those things come up then that’s where she is,” Haley said.

Ivanka Trump briefly sat in for her father during a work group at the event in Hamburg, Germany, that brought world leaders together to discuss a range of issues.

During the “Partnership with Africa, Migration and Health” session, the first daughter joined other world leaders like British Prime Minister Theresa May and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

On Saturday, the first daughter revealed a $300 million fund through the World Bank that will provide women-led start-ups with loans, mentoring, and other resources. The program, which will start giving loans by the end of the year, will have a particular focus on funding initiatives in developing countries.

Haley told CBS that Ivanka Trump has been “very well accepted nationally and internationally” with German chancellor Angela Merkel praising her initiative.

President Trump also expressed pride in his daughter.

“I’m very proud of my daughter Ivanka, always have been from day one, I have to tell you that,” Trump said. Then he joked: “If she weren’t my daughter it would be so much easier for her. It might be the only bad thing going for her.”

Haley’s entire interview airs Sunday.
