Kushner to travel to Middle East in push for peace
White House senior adviser Jared Kushner will travel to Israel and the Palestinian territories on Wednesday as part of the Trump administration’s efforts to broker a Middle East peace deal, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Kushner, who is also President Trump’s son-in-law, will reportedly meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem before meeting with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah to talk about the two parties’ priorities and the next steps in the negotiations.
Kushner’s visit would be the first major follow-up to Trump’s visit to the Middle East last month, his first trip abroad as president.
