Kerry to Trump: Think of grandkids in deciding fate of climate accord
Former Secretary of State John Kerry on Wednesday urged President Trump to think about the next generation as he weighs his final decision on whether to keep the U.S. in the Paris climate accord.
“Good question. But more importantly: billions of grandkids will have to live with this decision, however it lands. Think of them, please,” Kerry wrote on Twitter in response to a user who had asked if Trump’s granddaughter would be on his lap if he signs an executive order pulling out of the agreement.

Kerry’s suggestion to the president comes amid reports early Wednesday that Trump will pull out of the Obama-era deal reached by nearly 200 nations in 2015.
{mosads}Trump during his presidential campaign vowed to “cancel” the agreement. Following the Wednesday reports, Trump said he will announce his final decision on the deal “over the next few days.”
