Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez on Friday called President Trump the “most dangerous president” in U.S. history and said that the commander in chief “has to go.”

“Here’s one big thing we agree on. Donald Trump is an anathema to our values. Donald Trump is the most dangerous president in American history,” Perez, the former Labor secretary in the Obama administration, said during the California Democratic Party convention, as reported by The Los Angeles Times.

“Donald Trump has to go. And that is why we must work together as Democrats,” he added.

Perez attempted to unite the audience by urging the Democrats to “get together” and discuss their “shared values.” He compared it to a Thanksgiving dinner with extended family that you might not always agree with politically.

“We have a raucous Thanksgiving dinner. We talk about politics. I’m Dominican. So we talk about the other thing, which is baseball,” Perez said.

“And then at the end of the day, we get together and talk about our shared values,” he added.
