Rep. Maffei “enjoys cocaine because…”
Stephen Colbert aired an interview with Rep. Dan Maffei (D-NY) last night that’s sure to make some waves around the Capitol.
Colbert lured Maffei into the same trap that Rep. Robert Wexler (D-FL) fell into last year, asking him if he ever wished he “had an evil twin who could do all the bad stuff?”
“Evil Congressman Maffei, let’s say a few things the Good Congressman Maffei would never say,” Colbert suggested.
Colbert: Complete this sentence–“I enjoy cocaine because….”
Maffei: You know, I don’t–
Colbert: You are not Congressman Maffei. You are now your evil twin.
Maffei: Right, OK.
