Bachmann’s big haul

Rep. Michele Bahmann (R-Minn.) raised some serious cash this quarter. According to her most recent FEC filing, the Minnesota conservative raked in over $300,000 between January 1 and March 31.

Bachmann’s last race was closer (and more expensive) than expected. The campaign heated up in the final weeks after Bachmann made controversial remarks urging the media to investigate “anti-American” lawmakers. She edged ou Democrat El Tinkelberg 46%-43% after reports that the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) had pulled out of the race.

Bachmann recently made headlines for introducing legislation to ban the U.S. from replacing the dollar with a foreign currency.
