Trump to visit Speaker’s Wisconsin district on Tuesday: report
President Trump will pay a visit Tuesday to the Wisconsin district represented by House Speaker Paul Ryan (R), according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
Trump plans to visit Snap-on, a Wisconsin-based manufacturer in Kenosha, the paper reported, citing state Rep. Tod Ohnstad (D), who represents the town in the state Assembly.
The visit to the toolmaker Snap-on is seen by some as a strategic move by Trump, who was spurred to victory in November by working-class voters in Wisconsin.
{mosads}Shortly after the election, in December, Trump visited Wisconsin to thank the voters there. But this is his first trip back to the Badger state since becoming president, and since he and Ryan failed to move the GOP’s repeal and replace plan for ObamaCare.
Kenosha is nestled between Milwaukee and Chicago, along the shores of Lake Michigan.
