Moran leads Tiahrt 39-35 in SUSA poll
Rep. Jerry Moran leads Rep. Todd Tiahrt in the Kansas GOP Senate primary within the margin of error, according to a new SurveyUSA poll.
The poll showed Moran leading Tiahrt 39-35, just inside the margin of error. It also showed the man vacating the Senate seat, Sen. Sam Brownback (R), dominating the GOP gubernatorial primary, 64-17 over Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh.
The Senate race is a de facto general election at this point, with the strong GOP lean of the state and the fact that Gov. Kathleen Sebelius (D) has been appointed to President Obama
