Poll: New Yorkers prefer Spitzer to Paterson

A reader points out this truly astonishing poll: A majority of New Yorkers would prefer the sex-scandaled Eliot Spitzer (D) to be governor of New York than current Gov. David Paterson (D).

Fifty-one percent of respondents in the recent Marist poll said they would rather Spitzer be in office than his successor and former lieutenant governor.

Consider this just another indication of how bad things look for Paterson as he heads toward reelection next year.
