Trump on federal judge: ‘If something happens blame him’
President Trump doubled down on his online criticism of Judge James Robart on Sunday, saying the federal judge and the court would be to blame “if something happens.”
“Just cannot believe a judge would put our country in such peril. If something happens blame him and court system. People pouring in. Bad!” Trump tweeted on Sunday afternoon.
A late Friday ruling by Robart temporarily halted Trump’s executive order that denied entry into the U.S. for individuals from seven predominantly Muslim countries.
{mosads}“I have instructed Homeland Security to check people coming into our country VERY CAREFULLY. The courts are making the job very difficult!” Trump added Sunday.

That echoes Saturday criticism in which Trump questioned what “our country [is] coming to” after the ruling.
“What is our country coming to when a judge can halt a Homeland Security travel ban and anyone, even with bad intentions, can come into U.S.?” Trump tweeted.
Trump’s order denied entry to the U.S. for 90 days to nationals from seven majority-Muslim countries and called for a 120-day ban on admitting refugees and an indefinite halt on admitting refugees from Syria.
Vice President Pence on Saturday defended President Trump following his criticism of the federal judge, arguing the president was simply “speaking his mind.”
