TV networks scramble after Madonna drops f-bombs at DC rally

Madonna forced CNN and MSNBC to cut the audio from her speech denouncing President Trump at a women’s rally Saturday after the veteran performer yelled the f-word three times.

“It took this horrific moment of darkness to wake us the f–k up,” declared Madonna, 58, during a rally in Washington, D.C., that drew hundreds of thousands of people.

“And to our detractors that insist that this march will never add up to anything, f–k you! F–k you! It is the beginning of much needed change,” a demonstrative Madonna said.

CNN and MSNBC, which carried the event live, did not react in time to cut the audio for those three expletives, but were ready when the singer said it again a fourth time.

Both CNN and MSNBC anchors both apologized for the language. But C-SPAN continued it coverage uncensored and uninterrupted.

MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell, however, scolded his own network for not allowing the expletives to be heard by those watching live.

Fox News has been covering the events through reports throughout the day, but aren’t showing speeches live.
