GOP rep: Cabinet pick shows Trump is serious about quick ObamaCare repeal
Donald Trump’s pick of Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) to head the department of Health and Human Services is a sign the president-elect wants to act quickly to repeal ObamaCare, a conservative GOP lawmaker says.
“I do think repeal will certainly be in the first 100 days,” Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) told The Hill.
{mosads}Price, the current House Budget Committee chairman, “has real concrete plans and has had for a long time on how to replace the affordable care act with something that actually is affordable and actually does care about patient,” Meadows added, noting that some of Price’s ideas on an ObamaCare replacement may get modified before passing Congress.
