Hillary Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, voted in Chappaqua, N.Y. Tuesday morning.
{mosads}Clinton, the Democratic nominee for president, was greeted by dozens of voters.
She and Bill greeted voters before heading to a voting booth.
Clinton told a CNN reporter that the experience was “humbling.”
“I know how much responsibility goes with this and so many people are counting on the outcome of this election, what it means for our country and will do the very best if I am fortunate enough to win today,” she added.
Meanwhile, Clinton’s running mate, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), voted in Richmond, Va., telling reporters afterward it “was pretty meaningful.”
Vice President Biden voted early Tuesday at a high school in Wilmington, Del., where he hugged poll workers and complimented young girls on their “snazzy boots,” according to a reporter traveling with the vice president.
“The bad news is I’m not going away,” Biden joked, saying he will continue to fight income inequality after leaving office.
