Khan to Trump: ‘Would anyone who isn’t like you have a place in your America?’

Khizr Khan on Sunday directed several questions toward Donald Trump about whom the Republican nominee would allow in his America.

{mosads}”Donald Trump, would my son Capt. Humayun Khan have a place in your America?” Khan, the Muslim father of a U.S. Army captain killed in Iraq in 2004, asked while introducing Hillary Clinton during a New Hampshire rally on Sunday night.

Khan continued, questioning whether Muslims, Latinos or African-Americans would have a place in Trump’s America.

“Would anyone who isn’t like you have a place in your America?” Khan asked.

“Well, thankfully, Mr. Trump, this isn’t you America. On Tuesday, we are going to prove America belongs to all of us.”

The Republican nominee feuded with Khan earlier this year, after Khan gave a speech at the Democratic National Convention in July denouncing Trump.

During that speech, Khan pulled out a pocket-sized copy of the Constitution from his pocked and offered to let Trump borrow it.

During the rally on Sunday, Khan called Trump “unsuitable” to serve as commander in chief of the country and went on to commend the Democratic nominee, who he said is fighting for the values of this country.

Khan said the country needs a leader that will lead the country to a better future, pointing to Clinton. 

Clinton said during the rally that Khan and his family “exemplify the values that make America great.”

“In a race that has been marked by ugly suspicion and insults and attacks of all kinds against immigrants and Muslims and so many others,” Clinton said during the rally.

“Mr. Khan, I think reminded all of us, that we are Americans, his son was an American who gave his life for our country. We cherish the Constitution and we will defend it.”
