Obama to campaign for Clinton in NH on election eve
President Obama will campaign for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire on the eve of the election, according to the White House.
The president plans to headline a Monday rally in the town of Durham, spokesman Eric Schultz told reporters Wednesday aboard Air Force One.
{mosads}The Granite State only carries 4 electoral votes but has emerged as a key battleground in the tight race between Clinton and Republican nominee Donald Trump.
Trump will reportedly appear at a rally in Manchester on the same day as Obama.
Clinton currently leads Trump by almost 5 percentage points in New Hampshire, according to the RealClearPolitics polling average.
New Hampshire has long been considered a toss-up state, but Democrats have won there in each of the past three presidential elections.
The rally will likely be Obama’s final campaign stop for Clinton. The president has been an energetic surrogate for his former secretary of State. During the final week of the campaign, he will have stumped for Clinton in eight cities across four battleground states.
