Obama avoids Clinton email news at Fla. rally

President Obama on Friday steered clear of reports the FBI is probing new information related to Hillary Clinton’s private email server during a campaign stop for the Democratic nominee.

{mosads}Obama headlined a rally in Orlando, Fla., just hours after the news broke that the agency is investigating additional emails recovered in a separate probe into the sexting scandal surrounding Anthony Weiner, the husband of top Clinton aide Huma Abdein.

The stunning news rocked the 2016 campaign, breathing new life into Clinton’s damaging email controversy just days before the Nov. 8 election.

Obama heaped praise on Clinton, saying her resolve in the face of challenging situations makes her well-suited to serve as president.

“When things don’t go her way, you don’t see her whining. You don’t see her complaining. You don’t see her saying things were rigged,” Obama said in a swipe at Republican nominee Donald Trump.

“She just comes back, and she gets up, and she works harder, and she works harder and she works harder until she gets done what she needs to get done.”

He urged voters in Florida to cast their ballots early, warning them against being complacent because of Clinton’s lead over Trump in the polls.

“Sometimes, when you get a lead, whether it’s in sports or in politics. You start feeling good,” Obama said. “Suddenly it gets a little closer. You start tightening up and next thing you know, you look up and you let it slip away.

“I don’t want you to do a Usain Bolt,” Obama added, alluding to the legendary Jamaican sprinter’s tendency to ease up at the finish line. “I want you to run through the tape.”
