Poll: Clinton has double-digit lead over Trump

Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump nationally by a whopping 14 points, according to a new AP-GfK poll released 13 days ahead of the election.

{mosads}Clinton has 51 percent among likely voters and Trump has 37 percent, the poll found. Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson has six percent and Green Party nominee Jill Stein two percent.

Clinton has the support of 90 of likely Democratic voters, while Trump is backed by just 79 percent of likely GOP voters, the poll found.

And Clinton is viewed favorably by 46 percent of likely voters while Trump is seen favorably by just 34 percent. In last month’s edition of the same poll, Clinton’s favorability was 42 percent.

The poll was conducted Oct. 20-24 among 1,546 adults, including 1,212 likely voters. The margin of error for the whole sample is 2.75 percent and for likely voters is 3.1 percent.

The AP-GfK poll shows a greater lead for Clinton than most recent polls have shown.

The Democratic nominee has a 5.9-point lead over her Republican rival, according to a RealClearPolitics average of polls.

According to the polls-plus forecast on FiveThirtyEight, Clinton has an 82.3 percent chance of winning the White House.
