Celeb chef campaigns for Clinton after Trump hotel fight
José Andrés, the celebrity chef caught in a legal battle with Donald Trump, will campaign with Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton on the day the Republican nominee is set to open his new D.C. hotel.
{mosads}”You know it is going to be an amazing day when you are boarding a plane to #Tampa to join @HillaryClinton early voting rally!! #ImWithHer,” Andrés tweeted Wednesday.
Trump filed a $10 million lawsuit against Andrés after he pulled out of a restaurant project slated to be built at Trump’s D.C. hotel.
Andrés said that Trump’s disparaging comments about Mexican immigrants made it impossible for him to work with Trump.
A D.C. Superior Court judge in July rejected Andrés’s $8 million countersuit.
