Top Trump aide: We’re going to win Florida

Donald Trump’s campaign manager said early Wednesday that the Republican presidential nominee’s campaign will win the crucial battleground state of Florida on Nov. 8.

“The path would be much harder without Florida, and that’s why you’re going to see him — but we’re going to win Florida, so it’s not even part of the calculation,” Kellyanne Conway told “CBS This Morning.”

{mosads}Conway denied that the Trump campaign is losing the ground game in Florida, where Democrat Hillary Clinton has hosted multiple get-out-the-vote rallies encouraging Floridians to vote early. The former secretary of State will complete a swing through the Sunshine State on Wednesday. Trump also campaigned in Florida earlier this week.

Conway insisted that early voting for Democrats will not translate into a win in Florida.

“Most Americans are going to cast their votes on Election Day,” she said.

Clinton currently holds a 1.8-percentage point lead over Trump in the RealClearPolitics Florida poll average.
