New Dem super PAC ad targets Montana Republican
A super PAC supporting House Democrats launched an ad on Tuesday targeting Montana’s at-large GOP congressman, Rep. Ryan Zinke.
{mosads}The ad attacks Zinke for being “too in love with himself to think about Montana,” noting that he considered running for Speaker of the House last year, just months after being sworn in.
The move indicates that Democrats see promise in a district Republicans have held since 1999. Zinke is being challenged by Denise Juneau, the Democratic superintendent of Montana’s school system.
“For Congressman Zinke, it’s always ‘me’ before Montana,” House Majority PAC spokesman Jeb Fain said in a statement.
“Montanans are tired of Zinke’s constant self-promotion and bluster, and they’re more than ready for a Representative who will finally put their needs first.”
The group bought more than $490,000 worth of air time in the state’s major media markets for the ad, which begins airing Tuesday.
