Trump calls Florida ‘must-win’
Donald Trump acknowledged on Tuesday that Florida is a “must-win” state if he wants to capture the White House.
{mosads}”Florida is a must-win, and I think we’re winning it. I think we’re winning it big,” the Republican presidential nominee said in a phone-in interview with Fox News.
When Trump was asked if he thought it would be impossible to win the election without winning Florida, he reluctantly agreed while reiterating his optimism about Election Day.
“I think that is probably true. I mean, I’m not sitting down and figuring other alternative plans. I do believe we’re doing well in other states. So we’re doing great in Ohio,” he said.
“We’re doing great in Iowa. We’re doing, I think, we’re doing very well in New Hampshire. I think we’re doing — honestly, I think we’re doing really well all over. People want change. They are tired of incompetence.”
Trump, who is campaigning heavily in Florida in the final weeks of the election, is currently training his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, in Florida by an average of 3.3 percentage points.
