Trump admits he’s ‘somewhat behind’ in the polls
After claiming news outlets are lying about him losing to Hillary Clinton in the polls, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Monday admitted that he is trailing his Democratic rival.
{mosads}“I guess I’m somewhat behind in the polls but not by much. I mean, in your state, I’m 1 point, 2 points and even in three polls. 1 point, 2 points and even,” the Republican nominee told Bo Thompson of WBT’s “Charlotte’s Morning News,” according to Politico.
Clinton leads Trump in battleground North Carolina by almost 2.5 points, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average of polls. She leads Trump by 1- to 5-point margins in any of the seven individual surveys that were used for the average.
Trump tweeted Monday that “the press is refusing to report” that he is winning.
We are winning and the press is refusing to report it. Don’t let them fool you- get out and vote! #DrainTheSwamp on November 8th!

His own campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, acknowledged Sunday, however, that Trump is falling behind.
