Conway: Trump made stronger ‘defense of life’ than any GOP nominee

Donald Trump’s campaign manager on Sunday said the real estate mogul during the final debate gave the most “impassioned” anti-abortion argument of any GOP nominee.

{mosads}”Donald Trump, for the first time In the 20 some years I’ve been working on pro-life messaging, actually, in front of tens of millions of people worldwide, gave the most impassioned defense of life that I’ve ever heard from a Republican presidential candidate,” Conway said on “Fox News Sunday.”

“It was amazing to hear.”

The Republican nominee during the third presidential debate attacked his rival, Hillary Clinton, for her position on late-term abortion.

“What Clinton is saying is in the ninth month, you can go in and rip the baby out of the womb,” Trump said, mirroring language that is popular among the GOP’s anti-abortion base.

Conway said on Sunday that Trump used to support abortion rights, but changed his views based on personal experiences.

“And there he was, on the stage with you, doing two things that nobody had ever done,” Conway said.

“One is, saying I’m pro-life, I will appoint pro-life judges and then taking the case right to Hillary Clinton that her and her party are for abortion anyone, anytime, anywhere. They are incredible extreme.”

Conway said Clinton had a “terrible defense” for her position on late-term abortion.

“There are 12,000 a year and Americans ought to know, that that’s part of being pro-choice,” she said.

“So I was very excited because let me tell you something, a lot of Republicans just hide under the desk hoping the abortion shrapnel won’t hit them, and there is none other than a Manhattan billionaire giving an impassioned defense of pro-life.”
