Goldman CEO: ‘I’m supportive of Hillary Clinton’
Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein says he backs Hillary Clinton, according to an interview slated to air Sunday.
{mosads}“I’m supportive of Hillary Clinton,” Blankfein told CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, as first reported by Bloomberg.
The Democratic presidential nominee has been criticized throughout the election for paid speeches she previously gave to Goldman Sachs. Sen. Bernie Sanders often used the speeches a line of attack on Clinton during the Democratic primary.
“Yes, so flat out, yes, I do. That doesn’t say that I agree with all of her policies. I don’t. And that doesn’t say that I adopt everything that she’s done in her political career or has suggested that she might do going forward,” said Blankfein.
Though Clinton never released the transcripts, several speeches appeared to be included in the recent WikiLeaks releases of what are allegedly Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta’s emails.
