Ex-Arizona governor: Hispanic Dems ‘don’t get out and vote’

Former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer said she was skeptical that Hillary Clinton could win the Diamondback State because Hispanic Democrats won’t turn out on Election Day.

{mosads}“Nah,” said Brewer, a Donald Trump supporter, in an interview with the Boston Globe. “They don’t get out and vote.’’

According to RealClearPolitics, Clinton is averaging a narrow lead over Trump in recent statewide polls. 

An Arizona Republic poll that was released Thursday had her up 5 points.

In a sign that the Clinton campaign is optimistic about its chances to win Arizona, it has dispatched two of its most popular surrogates, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Michelle Obama, to stump for Clinton in the state in the past week.

“It’s wishful thinking on their behalf,” Brewer said of the efforts. “Donald Trump is going to secure the border and that is a very important issue in Arizona. 

“And Hillary Clinton wants open borders. All you have to do is say that to Republicans, independents, and some Democrats. They want our border secured.”
