Virginia extends voter registration deadline after computer glitches
A federal judge has extended the voter registration deadline in Virginia after heavy demand prevented some residents from registering.
Computer glitches that occurred in the hours leading up to the original Oct. 17 deadline, according to The Associated Press.
{mosads}Judge Claude Hilton granted an extension through Friday.
A voter advocacy group sued state officials this week seeking the extension.
Virginia’s elections commissioner said people can register online or by mail with a Friday postmark, according to the AP.
