Giuliani, Conway deflect questions about Trump, election results
Top Donald Trump allies Rudy Giuliani and Kellyanne Conway deflected questions about the candidate’s refusal at Wednesday night’s debate to say whether he’ll accept the election results on Nov. 8.
Pressed by MSNBC host Chris Matthews about the GOP presidential nominee’s comment that he’ll keep the country in suspense about the result, Conway, Trump’s campaign manager said, “We are in suspense.”
Giuliani, a former New York mayor, quickly changed the subject by praising Trump’s performance.
“I think you’re talking about this because he knocked her out tonight,” he told Matthews.
Trump in the last week has repeatedly said the election is being rigged against him, though he has offered no evidence other than allegations of media bias.
