During Wednesday’s presidential debate, Hillary Clinton claimed Donald Trump “choked” in his meeting with the Mexican president when he failed to press the issue of Mexico paying to build Trump’s proposed southern border wall.
{mosads}”When it comes to the wall that Donald talks about building,” the Democratic nominee said, “he went to Mexico, he had a meeting with the Mexican president. He didn’t even raise it, he choked.”
It appeared Clinton’s line was intended to get under Trump’s skin. The Republican nominee often calls people he doesn’t like “chokers.”
Trump looked irritated but didn’t take the bait, defending his meeting with the Mexican leader and moving on.
