Poll: Clinton leads Trump by 5 points in Arizona
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton leads Republican Donald Trump by 5 points in traditionally red Arizona, according to a new poll.
Clinton tops Trump 39 to 34 percent among likely voters in the Arizona Republic/Morrison/Cronkite News survey out Wednesday.
{mosads}Twenty-one percent remain undecided less than a month from Election Day, while no third-party presidential candidate reached double-digits.
Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson hits 6 percent, while Green Party nominee Jill Stein registers less than 1 percent.
Pollsters questioned 713 likely voters in Arizona from Oct. 10 to 15. The new survey has a margin of error of 4.3 percentage points.
Last month, the same poll had the race in Arizona too close to call. Clinton led Trump, 35 to 34 percent in that edition, within a 3.3 percent margin of error.
Clinton’s husband, former President Bill Clinton, was the most recent Democrat to carry Arizona, taking the state during his 1996 reelection bid.
No Democrat had won the Grand Canyon State before then, except for former President Harry Truman, who took it in 1948.
