Fox News poll: Clinton up by 7
Hillary Clinton has opened up a 7-point lead over Donald Trump in a newly released national poll from Fox News.
{mosads}The survey found that 45 percent of likely voters around the country support Clinton while 38 percent said they support Trump.
Libertarian Gary Johnson also received 7 percent support, while Green Party’s Jill Stein trailed with 3 percent.
Clinton’s lead grows to 8 points in a two-way matchup between the major-party candidates, 49 to 41 percent.
The poll found that since last week, Trump’s primary decline in support came from women, including women over 45, suburban women, women with college degrees and Republican women.
The survey also showed that high enthusiasm of Trump supporters has decreased from 70 percent last week to 63 percent.
Voters also expressed doubt about whether Trump is qualified to be president. Sixty-three percent said that Trump lacks temperament, while 49 percent believe that the Republican nominee is “not at all” qualified for the office.
Conversely, 68 percent of responders believe that Clinton is qualified to be president and 64 percent believe that she has the right temperament to effectively serve as POTUS.
The poll found that voters now trust Clinton on every policy issue that was tested, including foreign policy, terrorism, immigration, healthcare and the economy.
The Fox News poll surveyed a random sample of 1,006 registered voters between Oct. 10-12. The margin of error is 3 points.
